Day 4...set up the cold frame
I took it further in the garden -- the cold frame is in place again. I like that it's nice and level and exactly due south. Swiss chard, spinach, and a lettuce blend have been sowed and a small pot of rosemary was sunk in the ground a few inches. I may sink a few more pots of various plants to see how they overwinter in a cold frame.
The marigolds are to decorate our Day of the Dead altar. Every fall I try to save a few marigold plants, not always successfully.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
Beautiful. There is no stopping you.
ReplyDeleteI spent all day trying to master a wavy knitting pattern. Oh dear, not very productive. My daughter told me not to give in. I said it might be the pattern and not me(probably not)!
Much love
i'm so impressed, you are right on track & continuing on. i've taken two things further, but only a little each day. maybe i should have made a list.
ReplyDeleteI think it is impressive that you are taking things further, each day. The only thing I've taken further is the same feather project! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou have been so busy! : )
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me of the Day of the Dead.
Sometimes I never know what day/month it is because they all seem to melt together because of my work schedule :/
I love the look of knitting but honestly when I try it,
it feels so foreign and I end up poking myself with the needles or making my thread tight. Maybe someday I will try again. For now simple, and I mean very simple, crochet works for me. (just doing my own made-up scarf).
I love the fabric embellished pillows. It adds a bit of cheerfulness.
The zucchini looks yummy. <3
Trish, I'd consider even trying to learn a new knitting pattern hugely productive and absolutely taking-it-further. Hope you got it figured out and show a photo on your blog!
ReplyDeleteCindy, oh I think even a little is good! A list is nice but you know sometimes they hold you back.
ReplyDeleteNancy, it's been pretty fun to have this focus for a while. You've definitely taken feathers further! I hope to get back to mine again soon, too...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie! Well, I couldn't even put the words "crochet" and "simple" in the same thought. Crochet to me is hard, hard, hard. I don't understand it beyond making the line of chain stitches! How can a person possibly know where to poke the hook in after that, I ask? Someday maybe I'll take a class! I hope you show your scarf...
