I wore my boro jeans yesterday. You know how it is to wear something you love after a long time apart? Well, it was like that.
I've shown this photo before, but here, once again, are patches #1, #2, and #3. Also, here.
#4 seemed appropriate for Earth Day weekend stitching.
Boro is the Japanese term for mended and patched cloth. I love looking at boro, I love stitching boro, and now I even love wearing boro.
next boro . . . these jeans are perfect otherwise.
ah! these are delightful! i'm so pleased to see them, what fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Joe -- thanks -- I sort of look forward to the next hole!
ReplyDeleteYour boro jeans are the best! They only get better with "time" :)
ReplyDeleteLike fine wine. lol!
I love love your jeans! They would look great on you. I can see you are going to do something about these hems! Hugs Nat
ReplyDeleteMarie -- thanks! Yes, like fine wine -- and women, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nat -- yup, those hems look pret-ty bad. Am thinking of doing the weaving magic on them.
ReplyDeletei remember them, the stitching!
ReplyDeletelove those blue jeans!
Thanks, Cristina. Now after all this carrying on, I've got to watch it with the chocolate. They're OK but I could see things heading south if I gain any weight!
ReplyDeletesmashing mending...........bet youd pay an arm and a leg to get that 'designer' mend look in London or Paris too lol
ReplyDeleteNow you see I like the shredded look at leg ends, it proves how much they are valued somehow, that despite that, they are still worn... but I cant wait to see what you do with them lol
Lyn, I know what you mean -- honestly, I don't mind the shredded look either (just trim it when it gets too long!) but every step I take, my heel gets caught in the torn-off edge, that how bad they are!
ReplyDeleteBRAVO BORO !!
ReplyDeleteThese mendings are great. Love the continuing of stitchwork.
These are amazeballs!
ReplyDeleteI now have some great ideas for some of my tired looking clothes.
