halfway

Today is a waning half moon. How fitting because I feel like I'm halfway there on a lot of things.

But hey, there's a soft cozy place to sit on the front porch while I regather myself.  The sun has lowered enough that it shines directly on those porch pillows for a little while every morning. The change in light is just magical. I'm keeping track of this fleeting beam of light -- when it came and how long it stays. For the first time ever. After living here for years and years. Wow.

Hope you are having a wonderful week!

  2. What a sweet collection of pillows you've made! Especially the cozy neighborhood of homes & trees. Wondering what you're making in that second photo?

Oh, for a front porch to sit out on (or a back or side porch for that matter) - and the wonder of clocking a beam of light! That's heaven.

  4. So much earthy, rustic goodness here. I bet that porch calls to you often. And the brown square of the moondala...mudlicious!

  6. I love making new discoveries about where I live! I just found the one place the morning sun hits in the backyard this week (for this week, anyway)... I, too, think those pillows are just great.

  7. Don't you just LOVE the way the light changes in the Fall? I think that I appreciated it most this year - not sure why, but I think I may know! LOL
Your pillows are lovely and look so inviting!
I think it's always better to be halfway than no way at all.....at least you are on your way and halfway there! Enjoy the remainder of the journeys!....and have a great weekend too!

  8. Funny that you should mention the changing light today since I spent a half an hour this morning standing in my hallway watching the sunlight wax and wane as the clouds scudded across the sky in the autumn wind....the first morning that the sun has been low enough to shine in beneath the eaves here too. So lovely...
