spread the love

It happened over two weeks ago on caucus night here in Colorado. I handed my driver's license to the man in charge of my precinct. He coughed all over it, signed me in, and handed my license back to me. Then he took my hand (horrors) and wrapped an ID band around my wrist. I was stunned, I wanted to find a bathroom to wash my hands but the place was so packed I literally couldn't. So I thought to myself do not touch your face or ears (viruses can enter through the ear canal) and wash your hands first chance you get. Well, I got caught up in the excitement of the caucus and totally forgot to wash my hands until I was already back home having a glass of wine. Exactly one week later, I got sick with a cold. Exactly one week after that Jan got sick. Now we're both down, although I'm ahead of him and beginning to see the light. I tell us both that it's good to rev up your immune system like this once in a while.

I'm doing very little in between doses of elderberry or yarrow tinctures and quarts of medicinal herbal infusion -- unrolled a successful cotton/eucalyptus bundle, catching up on Season 5 of Girls and looking towards starting in on Season 1 of Poldark, sewing and knitting a little, arranging things...pinning down the March moon cloth, realizing how yuuuge that white quilt is and wondering how to fill it in.

"May you be Light" -- Michelle wrote this on her blog and I love it so much I want to remember to think or say it to myself and other people. Silently or out loud, depending on the situation. To spread the love.

May you be Light.

P.S. Lately I've been taking some photos featuring that beautiful hand-carved honey wand, today it is in the letter E in the word love. I keep forgetting to mention that it is one of my most treasured sacred objects, a gift from Nancy. Isn't it awesome? Nancy gives so freely in the true spirit of connection -- I believe her to be a psychic gift-giver. She just knows.

Uh Oh least you know how to best heal yourselves -
Does make you wonder about some folks' personal hygiene though, politics or not, chummy should have known better! yuk
I got some Kefir grains a month back and I am really feeling the benefit of drinking it or having it on my museli.
Maybe its psychological but my systems do feel better lol
Hope your well on the mend now - back to the circles girl - the 'cycle' will bring you back round to healthy I'm sure lol

Oh yes Peggy, it can be just that icky to go out in public! Glad you're heading towards healing and know the ways that work for you. Seeing the moons lined up is great, so minimal. I like! LOVE is the word girl! That honey dipper looks so beautiful in your photos...how does that happen?!! lol

Lyn, you are wise to be making it, kefir is soooo good for a person, I need to start making it again too. I stopped when I sold back our cow-share but there is some pretty good milk available now at the healthy food store. Yes, back to the circle of cloth!

Nancy, see my P.S. in the post -- I've been meaning to make notations on previous posts that the honey wand appeared in but have forgotten, time and time again. I love it so much, it will have to be some very special honey to dip it into. Maybe a special ceremony of some sort with honey from the beehive. Thank you again. So much.

My body shuddered at your discription of the caucus (our's is next weekend). Try as we might, the crud seems to find us when we let our guards down. The bee wand is gorgeous, as are your moons. I keep thinking of starting, and then get distracted. I need a post it note on my forehead. Feel better!

Oh so sorry you've been a bit ill. A nice hot toddy of Wild Turkey, honey and lemon heated up a bit can do wonders..... You're photo at the top is amazing! Saw it on Instagram and just love it. Could be a card or wall piece. Take care of yourself..... here it's allergies with all that's early blooming. If my eyes weren't watering so bad, id be crying...... sniff.

Delighted to find myself included in this lovely blog post, and for your comments on my post too. The ego may be diminished but some narcissistic bits still cling :-> As for the cold/flu thing that has been circulating our environs this year, it's a rough one. I was down on and off all Winter myself. I'm so glad you were participating in the Colorado caucus. What a world-what a world we find ourselves in! I may just do a write in depending on the candidates our insufficient two party system offers--Shirley Chisholm for President and Elizabeth Warren for VP....Meanwhile may light flood every cell of every being everywhere.

So sorry you were hit by inconsiderate bugs. There are days at school that I want to wear a mask & gloves, it's like working in a petri dish! Love your "LOVE" of treasures!
